For St. Pete multimedia artist Myiah Pink, creativity has never been something she acquired—it’s simply who she has always been. Primarily a painter but also dabbling in fashion and music, Pink has shaped her artistic identity as fluid and ever-evolving.
“I’ve always been creative,” she says. “There was never an introduction.”
Fashion dreams and community roots
Pink’s earliest ambitions were rooted in fashion. She dreamed of attending the Savannah College of Art and Design, but when tuition proved out of reach, she chose a different path and enrolled at St. Petersburg College—a decision that proved pivotal.
