Airbnb’s nonprofit providing emergency housing for people impacted by flooding in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – As people across southeast Wisconsin face a challenging rebuild from historic downpours and flooding from August 8-10, a nonprofit is providing some assistance.

According to a release, Airbnb’s nonprofit, Airbnb.org, announced that it has teamed up with United Way of Wisconsin, local and state officials to provide free emergency housing to flooding victims.

Airbnb.org says it will work with officials and United Way to determine those in the most dire need for emergency housing and to connect them with a place to stay.

These stays are 100% free for the guests and funded by Airbnb.org and donors. The release adds that anybody willing and able to help can sign up to host or donate, with every penny funding the emergency stays…
