Atlanta Police Arrest Suspect Bennie McCoy for Shooting That Injured Two Juveniles After Car Accident

Authorities in Atlanta have apprehended a suspect in connection with a shooting that wounded two juveniles on the morning of Friday. The incident, which transpired at approximately 9:15 a.m. near 166 WB at Sylvan Rd, stemmed from an altercation following a vehicular accident. A female driver, trying to flag down the other motorist involved, found herself and her car under gunfire, with two young passengers suffering injuries from the assault. Thankfully, the woman herself was unharmed in the attack.

According to a statement issued by the Atlanta Police Department, the victims were promptly taken to an a hospital, where they were reported alert, conscious, and breathing. Detectives from the Aggravated Assault Unit are actively investigating to piece together the details that led to this violent encounter.

In the progress of the investigation, police announced the arrest of Bennie McCoy, born August 2004, on related charges. McCoy, who was detained later on the day of the shooting, will face multiple allegations: four counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Hit and Run, and is slated for transport to Fulton County Jail forthwith…
