MEMPHIS, Tenn. — WREG first told you about a Jackson, Tennessee, man who had his Dodge Charger stolen in July from the Memphis International Airport’s parking garage. Nearly a month later, the car has been found.
“I’ve never heard of that, I didn’t know there was a size limit on stealing a car,” said Eric Thompson, whose car was stolen from the airport.

Eric Thompson is in disbelief after learning 23-year-old Anthony Taylor told police he was too big to steal his car.
Thompson’s 2020 Dodge Charger has been missing for more than a month after it was stolen from the airport parking garage. Thompson found out on Wednesday night, while on a business trip in Washington, that the car he was looking for was involved in a car crash after MPD spotted it with Mississippi plates.
Police say Taylor was able to lose pursuing officers, hitting speeds of more than 100 mph before crashing.
While Thompson was still away in business, his wife went to check the damage in the Memphis impound lot the next day, finding the car trashed with food, drinks, clothes, and marijuana…
