A boy struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Shreveport died a week later and has been identified by the Caddo Coroner’s Office.
Demarion Davis, 14, was injured near Independence Stadium in the 3300 block of Greenwood Road on Aug. 8 when his bicycle collided with a Ford pickup truck around 9:40 p.m. The Shreveport Fire Department took him to Ochsner LSU Health, where he died Friday just before 4 p.m.
The driver of the pickup truck, according to Shreveport Police information, was unable to avoid the crash when four bicycles that had been on a sidewalk crossed into traffic. The truck was westbound at the time…
