Two facing felony drug charges after Malta traffic stop

MALTA, NY (WRGB) — A traffic stop in Malta started for a vehicle registration infraction ended with two people facing felony drug charges,

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop Thursday evening for a damaged, non-distinctive registration affixed to the incorrect part of a vehicle, on Interstate 87 in the town of Malta.

During the investigation, Joseph L. Plummer, 36, of Galway, and Allen J. Wood, 43, of Corinth, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree (class D felony), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree (class A misdemeanors)…
