Charlotte resident Antoine Depray Jackson, 54, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison on drug and gun charges, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Russ Ferguson for the Western District of North Carolina. Joining Ferguson in the announcement were Alicia Jones of the ATF, Jae W. Chung of the DEA, and Sheriff Donald G. Brown II of the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.
During a federal search warrant executed at his home on October 4, 2023, quantities of cocaine base and a loaded .45 caliber pistol was uncovered by law enforcement. The investigation into Jackson, having prior criminal convictions, began after he was tagged as a distributor in the surrounding counties, which includes prohibited possession of a firearm due to these convictions.
After Jackson’s guilty plea to the charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of a firearm by a felon on February 7, he has been in custody and will be moved to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
