NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Shoppers across the country celebrated National Thrift Shop Day by flocking to resale stores, including Palmetto Goodwill locations here in the Lowcountry.
The holiday encourages people to shop secondhand not only to save money, but also to support local programs that give back to the community.
In 2024, Palmetto Goodwill served more than 11,000 people and helped more than 4,000 community members find sustainable employment. Leaders say those services are funded by shoppers at 33 Goodwill retail stores across the region…
