Manteca Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Being a Felon in Possession of Ammunition

Judge William B. Shubb to 12 years in prison for being a felon in possession of ammunition, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.

According to court documents, on December 17, 2019, law enforcement officers responded to a misconduct call from Gonzalez, reporting the improper towing of his truck. Before arriving on scene, officers learned that Gonzalez had an active felony warrant for his arrest. Once at the scene, officers took Gonzalez into custody. During an inventory search of Gonzalez’ truck prior to towing it, officers found a loaded revolver with additional rounds of ammunition in a toolbox in the truck.
