LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – After a dangerously hot weekend, the main weather story will shift from that intense heat to the possibility of severe storms.
A Severe T-Storm Watch is in effect until 4 AM for portions of northern and northeastern Nebraska. 70 mph winds, ping ball sized hail and an isolated tornado are all possible.
The risk for severe weather does now extend further to the south as well and we may even see severe storms in Lincoln early Monday morning.
A lower but more widespread risk is in place for wind and hail on Monday as well.
Storms begin this evening to the northwest and then shift to the east and southeast as the night progresses. Much of Monday will likely be dry with another round later into the day…
