A Miami-based developer has officially broken ground on a multi-family housing community in Margate.
Marquesa Apartments will comprise 220 apartments divided among four buildings. The one-bedroom to three-bedroom homes will feature stainless steel appliances, upscale finishings, and other features intended to “redefine modern apartment living.”
Ground-floor homes will have patios, and upper-story homes will have balconies. Of the 220 homes, seven will be designated as workforce housing for tenants earning up to 120 percent of the area median income (AMI). According to Broward County records, for a one-person household to qualify, they could earn no more than $60,960 annually.
Residents would have access to a host of on-site amenities, including a resort-style swimming pool, gym, and children’s playground, along with other offerings. TC MC Margate Apartments LLC is the developer. The firm recently acquired a $46.5 million construction loan from City National Bank of Florida to help make the project possible.
