One of San Francisco’s most historic Thai restaurants has closed

One of San Francisco’s most iconic — and oldest — Thai restaurants has closed.

Khan Toke Thai House, a Richmond District staple in operation since the 1970s, has permanently closed, according to a sign pasted in the restaurant’s window. Phone numbers associated with the restaurant were also disconnected.

The restaurant at 5937 Geary Blvd. was named in the Chronicle’s “Best Classic Restaurants” list from 2024, where it was lauded for its expansive menu and unique ambiance…
