U.S. Army Six-String Soldiers to perform at Nebraska State Fair

GRAND ISLAND — The United States Army Band ensemble, the Six-String Soldiers, performs twice on Sept. 1 at the Nebraska State Fair.

The band is supporting the State Fair’s annual Veterans Appreciation event and will perform the National Anthem, the service branch songs and a musical set. The Appreciation event is in the Heartland Events Center from 1030-1230, doors open at 0930. The daily parade will start at 1300 and is Veteran and service focused.

A second, outside, performance at the Pump & Pantry Party Pit is at 1700. BOTH events are free! Veterans and current service members receive free entrance to the State Fair with proper identification [driver’s license, VA ID, CAC]. Family members will not have the fee waived, but tickets can be purchased at a discount in advance at the State Fair’s web site…
