(WIFR) – Severe thunderstorm watches are in effect for Boone, DeKalb, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Whiteside and Winnebago counties. The watches are in effect until 6 p.m. Monday. A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued for Rock and Walworth counties in Wisconsin.
Primary threats include scattered damaging winds, with some gusts possibly reaching 70 mph.
