DC Weather: Cooler temps and overcast skies to kick off Monday

WASHINGTON (7News) — A dramatic change is in store to kick-start the 3rd week of August. After a very hot and humid weekend, high temperatures will be in the 70s Monday. This is well below the average high of 88 degrees for late August.

The cooler weather is thanks to a cold front that slid through Sunday night. High pressure to our north will bring us a breezy northeast wind that will usher in this cooler airmass. While temperatures will be lower, it will remain a bit sticky.
