KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) — The Town of Kiawah Island’s Municipal Center announced Monday that their reopening has been postponed until further notice due to damage caused by a burst water line in the building.
According to the provided statement, the waterline burst above the ceiling tiles, causing extensive damage to the building which was primarily carpeted.
Now, the Public Works Department is coordinating with the center’s insurance carrier to obtain the necessary approvals for repairs. One approved, restoration work will begin and crews will work to reopen Town Hall as quickly as possible…
