ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A 40-year-old man has died after police say a driver hit him, then left him on the shoulder of an Albemarle County roadway.
Just before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, units with both the Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue were called to the 900 block of Monacan Trail Road after receiving reports of a pedestrian in the shoulder of the roadway.
When they arrived, crews found 40-year-old Michael D. Venezian of Albemarle with life-threatening injuries…
