An 8-month-old baby has died following a DUI-related crash in Pasco County involving a Chevy Silverado and an Audi. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred on US-19 near Flora Ave. at approximately 1:36 a.m. yesterday. WFLA indicates that the driver of the Chevy, 32-year-old Antonio Miguel Bravo of Clearwater, crashed into the Audi while attempting to pass it.
The Audi, driven by a 27-year-old man from Gibsonton, was carrying the infant in a car seat in the back when it was rear-ended by Bravo’s vehicle. According to details from Pasco News Online, Bravo did not slow down or stop as he approached the slowing traffic at the intersection, leading to the fatal accident. The baby was transported to a hospital with serious injuries but was pronounced dead later on.
