N.J. inmate gets life in prison in fatal beating of cell mate

A South Jersey inmate has been sentenced to life in prison in the 2019 beating that killed his cell mate.

Anthony Cole, 40, of Trenton, received the sentence in state Superior Court on Monday, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. He was convicted of first-degree murder at a bench trial earlier this year.
