SSU to honor late student in ribbon cutting ceremony

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah State University (SSU) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony honoring late student Melvin Bostic.

On Tuesday at 9 a.m., SSU will host the dedication at the Tiger Court Residence Hall which will now bear the name of Melvin Bostic in honor of the SSU student and Army veteran.

In 1972, Bostic was raising money for university scholarships when he was killed. Today, his memory is being honored for his courage and sacrifice in the ceremony that will prevail his legacy for the school…
