‘I kept going’: Son bludgeons father with lamp and hammer, arrest report reveals

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — A Palm Beach Gardens man is accused of bludgeoning his father to death with a lamp and hammer during a violent, multi-room fight inside their PGA National home.

The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department (PBGPD) said 24-year-old Ellis Gaines Lee II is facing first-degree premeditated murder after allegedly killing his father during a brutal domestic altercation inside their PGA National home early Friday morning.

According to the arrest report, Lee was arrested on August 15 after calling 911 from the family’s residence on Glencairn Road in the Burwick neighborhood.

Police said Lee told dispatchers he had gotten into a fight with his father, David Ellis Lee, 64, and that his father was “badly injured.” He admitted the fight occurred across multiple rooms and involved multiple weapons, but refused to specify what they were…
