Pender County Commissioners vote to rescind amended noise ordinance, just weeks after approving changes

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — Pender County Commissioners voted 4-1 Monday night to rescind a controversial amendment to the county’s noise ordinances just weeks after approving the change.

In a 3-2 vote made on July 30th, the board made it a violation for “plainly audible noise” to be louder than 70 decibels made by dirt bikes, ATVs, and other motorized vehicles.
