VILLE PLATTE, La. (NEWS 15) — A man is recovering after he was shot twice, his car was stolen, and more than $10,000 is missing, according to the Ville Platte Police Department.
Police Chief A. Perry Thomas said it happened on East Pine Street near South Chataignier Street in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 17.
He added officers found a man in his mid-20s with gunshot wounds to his left shin and foot. He noted the victim was initially treated at Mercy Regional Hospital before being airlifted to Ochsner Hospital for surgery. The victim is listed as stable…
