Seattle woman sentenced for bringing contraband to WA State Penitentiary

WALLA WALLA – Mariella Gavarrete-Campos, 21, of Seattle, turned herself in at the Walla Walla County Jail Monday after pleading guilty to felony charges for conspiracy to posses methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance not as a prisoner, stemming from a March incident at the Washington State Penitentiary.

During Monday’s hearing in Walla Walla County Superior Court, her attorney, Rob Olson, mentioned she would serve 30 days in jail. Judge Brandon Johnson noted she would receive credit for one day already served…
