A 51-year-old Seattle man pleaded not guilty to killing a man and a woman in July at a Kent apartment complex.
Alphonzo Kelly entered a not guilty plea Aug. 14 to two counts of first-degree murder at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent, according to court documents. He is scheduled for a routine pretrial hearing Sept. 18. Kelly remains in the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle without bail due to his alleged crimes and previous criminal record.
Kelly is accused of killing Gary Winston, 34, and Migna Elizabeth Kennebrew, 46, each of Kent, on July 14 at the Kentwood Apartments, 10435 SE 224th St., on the East Hill, according to charging documents filed Aug. 1 by the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Winston died of multiple gunshot wounds and Kennebrew died of a gunshot wound of the neck, according to a July 17 report by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office…
