A man accused of domestic assault died in a Lake Oswego house fire that began during a standoff with police late Thursday night, authorities said.
Police have not publicly identified the suspect. His girlfriend, who reported the assault to police around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, safely left the location before officers arrived, according to the Lake Oswego Police Department.
