16-year-old suspected of robbing Akron grocery store taken to hospital after K-9 apprehension: Police

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — A 16-year-old was injured during an arrest over the weekend after being suspected of robbing a local grocery store, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.

Akron police and the sheriff’s department were called to the area of Tallmadge Avenue and Glenwood Avenue Saturday just before 8:30 p.m. for reports of a teen who had robbed the grocery store with a gun.
