August 9th Stabbing Arrest Made ; Detectives Seek Additional Witnesses
August 19, 2025 – Turlock Police Department officials report that on August 9, 2025, just after 9:30 p.m., officers
were dispatched to the 3200 block of West Monte Vista Avenue for a report of an aggravated assault. Officers located a male victim with a stab wound to the abdomen, rendered aid, and the victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Through the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 45-year-old Michael Freitas of Turlock. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was located and taken into custody on August 13, 2025. Freitas was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon…
