Providence police launch real-time crime center

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Providence Police Department has officially launched its “Real Time Crime Center.”

It’s the first of its kind in Rhode Island and was funded by a $1 million federal earmark secured by Sen. Jack Reed.
