3 charged in connection with Swansea car thefts, break-ins

SWANSEA, Mass. (WPRI) — Police have arrested three men in connection with a series of vehicle thefts and break-ins reported in Swansea last month.

According to police, seven cars were stolen and about 25 break-ins occurred in the early morning hours between July 3 and July 10. Six of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered, police said.

Syaire Burgo, 18, of Lawrence, Luis Santiago, 27, of New Bedford, and Brian Santiago, 24, of Fall River, were arrested by Wareham police at the end of July for similar crimes there.
