Creek House Honey Farm’s Lavender Festival draws enthusiasts to Canyon

The fact that the June hailstorm destroyed most of the lavender field didn’t deter people from attending the Creek House Honey Farm’s fourth annual Lavender Festival Saturday morning.

“We were hoping for 500 (attendees),” said event coordinator Hannah Cowley. “It’s been more than that. It’s been crazy busy.”

It was a day filled with everything lavender with such lavender-inspired products as mead, honey, cookies and lemonade. Customers could also buy bundles of lavender in lieu of picking lavender as in past festivals…
