Northwest Texas Healthcare System hosts ribbon-cutting for renamed Heart and Vascular Center

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Northwest Texas Healthcare System announced it will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the renaming of its Heart and Vascular Center on Tuesday.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is set to be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the center, located at 1501 S Coulter St.

Officials said the center was officially renamed the Northwest Texas Healthcare System Heart and Vascular Center to more accurately reflect the critical role of vascular services in patient care. The name aims to highlight the efforts of the diverse group of specialists who provide care at the center, including cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons.

“NWTHS continues its commitment to combating heart disease, the number one killer in the community, by offering a full range of services that allow residents to receive advanced care close to home,” said officials.
