Police Arrest Lincoln Man for Kidnapping, DUI

LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 19)–A kidnapping Monday night at a south Lincoln park has led to an arrest of a 48-year-old Lincoln man.

Lincoln Police say officers were called to Peach Park near 14th and Peach and as they started to investigate, the victim, an 8-year-old boy, was found a short time later at his home nearby with a relative. LPD adds when officers arrived at the home, the suspect, later identified as Daniel Goe, was also there and appeared to be intoxicated. Officers conducted a DUI investigation after they handled the kidnapping investigation.

During the investigation, LPD said officers determined Goe had been at the park on foot, then pulled up to the park in his vehicle, approached the child to go get food, who then got into the passenger seat. One witness told LPD he told the boy to get out of the vehicle but Goe locked the vehicle and drove off…
