KTVB’s owner agrees to sale. Report says KBOI2’s owner wants to bid, too

Tegna, Inc., which owns Idaho TV stations KTVB in Boise and KTFT in Twin Falls, has agreed to be acquired by a larger rival, while another suitor is circling.

Texas-based Nexstar Media said it has an agreement to buy Tegna, which is based in Virginia. The deal would value Tegna at $3.54 billion, if approved — about $22 per share.

Nexstar is already the nation’s largest owner of television stations, and the deal would add even more heft to its portfolio…
