Man released on appearance ticket after reported Walmart burglary

Saratoga County, NY (WRGB) — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an active larceny call at 2:42 PM Monday at the Walmart in Wilton, leading to the arrest of 36-year-old Matthew Zarro of Whitehall, NY. Zarro faces charges of burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

Authorities said Zarro is accused of “knowingly entering and remaining unlawfully within a building with intent to commit a crime.” He is also charged with stealing merchandise from the store. Zarro had previously been formally advised by the company that he was not allowed on the premises…
