CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — Residents in Chattanooga are still recovering from last week’s flash flooding, which Hamilton County leaders are now calling the worst flood event since 1973.
Nearly seven inches of rain fell on the Chattanooga area within a matter of hours, triggering flash floods across the city.
Resident Kelsey Anderson says that due to floodwaters, she and her family have had to start over.
To make matters worse, she doesn’t have flood insurance to cover the repairs…
