A local nonprofit is asking for the community’s help as the hot summer days continue to rage on.
The Community of Caring is a shelter that provides for people in our community experiencing homelessness.
Community donates over $1 million during Crawford Gives
Every morning, the nonprofit puts out a cooler of water for those coming by to grab a bottle, but as the hot weather drags on, they’re running out of water to keep the homeless community hydrated.
Randall Harris, the organization’s director of operations, said any donors can call the nonprofit or just drop off water at their building on East 8th Street anytime.
