Relief denied for man on death row for murdering relatives in York County

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that his appeals unit has won a federal decision to deny relief for a man with death sentences for the 1991 murders of three children and two adults.

According to a ruling from a federal appeals court, the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously affirmed a lower district court ruling refusing to reopen the case of Pail Gamboa-Taylor.

In 1991, Gamboa-Taylor used a knife and hammer to kill three children, his wife, and his mother-in-law. The AG’s office says Gamboa-Taylor was sentenced to one life-in-prison term and four death sentences…
