US Marshals search for 19-year-old from DC wanted in Penn State University rape case

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (DC News Now) — The U.S. Marshals Service Pennsylvania Task Force is searching for a 19-year-old from Washington, D.C., who is wanted for reportedly raping a student at Penn State University (PSU) Abington campus.

The U.S. Marshals Service is searching for Abdul-Jabril Cooper, 19, who has a warrant out for his arrest.

Officials said Cooper is accused of raping a student at his campus apartment in September 2024. He was also a student at the time of the incident, but he has since disenrolled from the university.

Investigators from PSU and the U.S. Marshals Service offered Cooper the opportunity to surrender, but he refused, according to officials.
