ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke Police Department’s Operations and Crime Control Center has a new home and new tools.
“We started in a very small room in the downstairs of our police department,” said Deputy Chief of Operations Adam Puckett.
The center, also known as ROC3, is a central hub for intelligence, technology, and coordination supporting Roanoke Police.

“Our analysts right now are monitoring dispatch,” explained Eric Mayo, project manager. “They’ll hear a call on the radio; they’re already working it up. As soon as the officer says 10-4, they’re working it up, they’re finding out who’s involved, so the officer knows, they’re prepared.”…
