Colorado Springs man arrested in $76k casino heist in Cripple Creek

(CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo.) — A 26-year-old man from Colorado Springs has been arrested in connection with the theft of over $76,000 from a Cripple Creek casino.

According to the Cripple Creek Police Department (CCPD), Andrew Joel Irvine of Colorado Springs was arrested in connection with the theft of $76,800 from J.P. McGill’s Casino in Cripple Creek in the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 18.

CCPD is leading the investigation with assistance from the Colorado Division of Gaming and the Colorado Springs Police Department. CCPD credited the cooperation from those agencies for the apprehension of Irvine later the same day as the theft…
