SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The latest Consumer Price Index reveals that grocery prices in July rose 2.2 percent compared to the same time last year. Shoppers have been feeling the pinch at the grocery store as prices continue to climb.
Everyday staples have seen significant cost increases, with coffee prices up nearly 15 percent, ground beef rising just over 11 percent, and egg prices, despite a drop due to avian flu, still up more than 16 percent.
