Nearly three months after the tragic discovery of three young sisters near a Washington campground, authorities have released chilling new details about the crime scene, solidifying their belief that the girls’ father, Travis Decker, is the sole suspect in their murders.

Nine-year-old Paityn, eight-year-old Evelyn, and five-year-old Olivia Decker were found dead near the Rock Island Campground in Chelan County on June 2nd, just days after leaving home for a scheduled visit with their father. Previous reports indicated the girls were found with plastic bags over their heads and zip ties binding their wrists.

Now, authorities have revealed the grim extent of their father’s alleged actions. According to a recent press release, two of the girls had two separate bags over their heads, while the third had three.

Several cable ties were also scattered near their bodies.

DNA analysis conducted by the Washington State Crime Lab has linked Travis Decker to these items. His DNA profile was found on both the plastic bags and the cable ties, confirming investigators’ suspicions.

The girls’ DNA was also found on the plastic bags. The cause of death, determined by autopsy on June 9th, was suffocation.

This latest evidence adds to a growing body of incriminating findings. In July, authorities confirmed that bloody handprints found on the tailgate of Decker’s vehicle, which was discovered near the girls’ bodies, also matched his DNA.

Despite an extensive search, Decker’s whereabouts remain unknown. While the search efforts have been scaled back in recent weeks due to a decrease in leads, authorities maintain their commitment to finding him and bringing him to justice. Sheriff Mike Morrison has stated that the search could take years, but they are prepared for the long haul.

Decker is currently wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of kidnapping. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Authorities urge anyone with information to call 911 immediately and to avoid any contact with Decker.
