Be prepared in Southern Maryland

It’s generally considered good to be prepared, just in case. That’s especially true when it comes to hurricanes.

As you’ve probably heard by now, Hurricane Erin is headed up the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of the U.S. While the hurricane was still not predicted to actually track over land here, forecasters are warning of potential impacts along the East Coast, including potentially in the Chesapeake Bay.

So, be prepared. That’s it. Maybe think about what you’ll do if power goes out for a bit. If you live on or near the water, as many in our region do, perhaps come up with an evacuation plan, just in case…
