‘Happy to be alive’: State trooper out of ICU after Revere Beach hit-and-run

Nearly two months after being injured in a hit-and-run at Revere Beach, a Massachusetts State Police trooper is out of intensive care.

Lt. Donald Bossi was thrown about 45 feet when he was hit by a motorcycle, which police said was stolen. The crash happened June 23 on Revere Beach Boulevard.

Bossi was in an intensive care unit until Tuesday, when he was transported to Spaulding Rehabilitation in Cambridge. He received a round of applause from fellow troopers…
