Narcotics Chief Granville will keep job in wake of reckless driving with county vehicle

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Erie County Sheriff’s Office chief of narcotics will keep his job after he pleaded guilty to reckless driving after a series of hit-and-runs with a county-owned vehicle last April.

D.J. Granville was suspended for 30 days without pay.

Last week, Granville pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving and one count of leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and a $600 fine…
