BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Erie County Sheriff’s chief of narcotics Daniel J. Granville’s criminal case is resolved, but how much he pays in restitution remains up in the air.
In April 2024, Granville was operating a county-owned 2016 Dodge truck on Buffalo’s West Side when he crashed into six vehicles, damaging seven. He left the scene of the crashes and was not charged until a year later when the incident became public.
Five Buffalo police officers, including Granville’s sister-in-law, remain on paid leave pending the outcome of the police department’s internal affairs investigation into what roles they played in what has been described as a cover-up…
