ENCINITAS, Calif. — In a collaborative effort to save animals in need, the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in San Diego County recently transported several cats, kittens, and dogs from an overcrowded shelter in Orange County. The rescue mission aimed to alleviate the strain on OC Animal Care following the removal of 124 cats from a single home in Fullerton in July.
“That puts our resources in a bind, from staffing to making sure we have the kennel space,” said Alex Su, Program Manager at OC Animal Care.
