Gainesville, FL – On Tuesday, August 19, at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers with the Gainesville Police Department and Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to a large structure fire at 3425 SW 2nd Avenue.
When first responders arrived, fire crews worked quickly to contain the blaze and protect nearby residents as flames spread through the apartment building. Despite their efforts, the fire caused significant damage, with estimated losses exceeding $200,000.
