LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Alongside state and federal leaders, the city of Louisville is working to put a dent in the ongoing affordable housing shortage, including adding more options for seniors. New Directions Housing Corporation announced the construction of the Roosevelt Senior Apartments, which will offer dozens of affordable apartments for older adults in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood.
New Directions Housing Corporation has been working since 1971 to offer affordable housing for the people of Louisville and beyond, but on Tuesday organizers announced a project that will prioritize older adults.
“Roosevelt Senior Apartments will be home for 36 seniors in our community. A home where rental rates will be aligned with the individual income.
